mdeducational Foundation, an organisation that places mental health professionals in sixth forms across the UK and Ireland, has bought minority stake shares in Mind Body Goals Ltd who manufacture Luma³.
Tarquin Scadding-Hunt says: “We believe strongly in the importance of mental wellbeing support, especially for young people, and advocate for wellbeing intervention and tools such as the Luma³ being put into schools across the country.
Tarquin Scadding-Hunt, co-founder of the Foundation, will also be joining the Mind Body Goals board, supporting them in their mission to reduce stress and increase wellbeing through cutting-edge science and technology. This marks the formation of a board of directors that includes Michael Crinnion, the company founder, together with Colin Glass OBE, who has advised the company since its inception.
We’re delighted to support the release of the Luma³, whose proposition supports our own. We look forward to working with Mind Body Goals as they continue to use technological innovation to help improve the wellbeing of many more people.”
Backed by the science of stress, Luma³ is a new wellbeing device that uses gentle pulses of colour and light to guide users through conscious breathing techniques. It helps to boost wellbeing by reducing stress, improving sleep, and increasing workplace productivity by encouraging regular breaks.

Michael Crinnion, Mind Body Goals says: “We are thrilled to be working with mdeducational Foundation on the launch of our new product Luma³ and very grateful for the support they are providing to do this. I am also very happy to be welcoming Tarquin to our board; from the very first meeting it was clear to me that Tarquin’s vision and values were completely aligned with my own and I’m excited to work together on maximising the positive impact Luma³ has for people of all ages.”
As part of Luma³’s 10:1 initiative, for every ten Luma³ products sold, one will go free to a school, college or university to support young people’s mental health and wellbeing. This closely aligns with mdeducational foundation’s mission to improve mental wellbeing of young people, giving them access to the support they need to thrive.
As well as providing mental health support and intervention strategies to sixth forms and colleges, mdeducational foundation work with schools to create wellbeing spaces for their students, and will be placing Luma³ devices in all of the schools they work with.
