Mind Body Goals selected to join the Unreasonable Impact Small Business Initiative

Mind Body Goals, the company behind Luma³ has been selected to join the Unreasonable Impact Small Business Initiative, a pilot programme co-created by Barclays and Unreasonable, designed to support entrepreneurs focused on solving pressing social and environmental challenges within their local communities.

The new pilot is an extension of Unreasonable Impact, a broader partnership between Unreasonable and Barclays, which was launched in 2016. While Unreasonable Impact is focused on scaling up growth-stage companies across the globe, as COVID-19 continues to have a major impact on everyday life, the Small Business Initiative supports smaller ventures driving impact and job creation within regional communities in the North of England, North Wales and Scotland.

"The values and ethos of Unreasonable are very well aligned with my own and that of Mind Body Goals and Luma³"

- Michael Crinnion, Founder and CEO Mind Body Goals Ltd

The Small Business Initiative will give 14 entrepreneurs access to an exceptional, international network of experienced mentors to support them in their mission through masterclasses, peer to peer coaching, mentorship and more.

After a rigorous selection process, Founder and CEO Michael Crinnion has been selected to join 13 other bold entrepreneurs working in industries such as healthcare, education, renewable energy and food security.

Michael Crinnion, Mind Body Goals CEO and inventor of Luma³ said "I'm very happy to have been selected to work with Unreasonable and Barclays on this initiative. The values and ethos of Unreasonable are very well aligned with my own and that of Mind Body Goals and Luma³. I am excited to be working with a talented group of like minded entrepreneurs and thrilled to be part of something as big as this with such fantastic aims for social change"

Andrew Horner, Head of Relationship Management in the North of England at Barclays, said, “We are incredibly excited to launch this pilot initiative as an extension of our Unreasonable Impact programme. Our role in helping to rebuild more prosperous communities across the UK has never been more important and we are committed to supporting these smaller businesses on their journey to scale.”

"We're so incredibly grateful and privileged to support these ventures and entrepreneurs. Their entrepreneurial innovation will enrich their local communities and create jobs"

- Daniel Epstein, Founder and CEO of Unreasonable

Daniel Epstein, Founder and CEO of Unreasonable Group added, “Unreasonable Impact was co-created with Barclays with a shared intention to help entrepreneurs take their businesses to the next level, faster. The Small Business Initiative supports local businesses aligned with the UK’s mandate to achieve net zero by 2050, while also assisting them in growing, adapting and seizing new possibilities, and we're so incredibly grateful and privileged to support these ventures and entrepreneurs. About Unreasonable Impact Small Business Initiative

Unreasonable Impact Small Business Initiative is designed to support entrepreneurs focused on solving pressing social and environmental challenges within their local communities. They are working with small businesses dedicated to delivering innovative solutions across healthcare, education, renewable energy, sustainable transport and the future of food — who are creating new jobs as they grow.

This pilot programme has been launched as an extension of their broader Unreasonable Impact partnership, which was co-created by Barclays and the Unreasonable Group in 2016. While Unreasonable Impact is focused on scaling up growth-stage companies across the globe, the COVID-19 pandemic has reinforced the importance of also driving local impact and job creation within regional small business communities. Through their 2021 pilot programme, we will support a group of small businesses impacting the North of England, North Wales and Scotland who are solving social and environmental challenges in the region.
